If you are using this drive internally, you should remove the JC31 bridge and solder it onto the Kpf920 pads. Does this then mean I do need to attach the wire to pin 2 of the Shugart connector when using it with my STe while with the Mega STe I should remove it or it doesn’t matter if it’s still therethe other way round, or just don’t connect anything to pin 2 at all?

Yup, there was an issue with MIME checking and whatnot, and the devs had said, in essence, “cannot be solved, rewriting, wait for a next version”.

On the “HDIN” switch you should use the pin which is not connected to GND, which in the case of this drive is the lowest pin as Exxos has shown in a photo of the floppy drive on this page -scroll down the page almost half way where the “HD wire” is clearly ,pf920 That’s my notes from back in the 90s, but it differs for the most part from Exxos’ info: I just assumed it was a bug and I convert everything to png now.
